Come hang out on the LogicBand Discord server,It’s open to blind musicians, producers, etc. who want to be a part of a community covering all things Logic Pro.. There are channels where you can ask questions, talk about projects you’re working on and discuss anything else relating to audio and music production. Channel topics include Virtual Instruments & Sound Libraries, Drums and Drummer, Guitar/Bass and Amp Sims, plus more. So join the conversation, share some tips of your own, ask about others workflow, etc. so you can sharpen your skills and enhance your Logic Pro knowledge.
The first thing you will want to do is grab the discord app and create an account on there if you don’t already have one. If you aren’t already familiar with discord, it’s a chat app similar to Team Talk or Team Speak and has similar features to apps like Skype, Zoom, what’s app, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet.
To download discord visit the discord download page.
That page has links not just to download the Mac version, but also links to the App Store too so you can grab the mobile version.
Once you get the discord app installed, follow the prompts to create an account or sign in if you already have an account.
Once you are signed in you can join the LogicBand server here.
If that link opens in the browser instead of the discord app, you can copy that link and in discord select add server, or press Command Shift N and navigate to join server which is towards the bottom of the window. On the page that asks for the server you want to join paste in the above link and click join or press return.
You should now be on the LogicBand server in the Welcome and rules channel.
You can find some helpful hints, guides and key commands for discord here.
Please read that guide as it’s designed to help you get up to speed with discord. There are plenty of key commands for the Mac version and a lot of them also work on iOS if you have a keyboard paired with your device. The Quick Switcher makes switching channels and servers easy among other things for example and the aformention guide covers using it.
If you are also a LogicBand channel member on YouTube, then you will also want to connect your YouTube account to discord so you can access the member’s channels. See how to do that here.
Connecting your Youtube account to discord will give you access to the Member’s only channels which includes the Q&A channel for the member’s Q&A.
There are lots more things planned for the discord server, including some Live Streams and presentations, and you’re gonna want to be there on discord if you want to ask questions or follow up/interact with the community on those topics. Once you join the discord server you should receive notifications for when events are happening. You can choose to add them to your calendar or reminders or etc and be notified when they are starting as well.
