Chord Track PT 2 – Editing Chord Start & end, Building, Copying & Pasting Chord Groups/Progressions

Now that we’ve covered an overview of the chord track, lets talk more about working with chords that start sooner than the start of every bar/measure. In this tutorial we’ll discuss situations like when you want to put chords at beat 1 and 3 of every measure, Adjusting the length of chords, moving chords, Copying and pasting chord and chord groups, combining small chord groups into a larger one and how you can use this to build out a song arrangement quickly.

VoiceOver Tip How To Mute VoiceOver Speech So You Can Hear To Edit Updated For mac OS 15 Sequoia

This tutorial demonstrates how to create a keyboard Commander to mute VoiceOver’s speech. While there is a gesture for it on iOS which also works on Mac OS if you turn on track pad commander, there is no keyboard command for this feature. This shows how to use keyboard commanders, a feature built in to the Mac OS screen reader for the blind, to create a short cut to mute speech output.
This is an update to a tutorial done previously. This one shows how to do it in Mac OS Sequoia.

How TO Make Loops Your Own, Chopping Samples And More Part 1 For Blind Logic Pro Users Via VoiceOver

This is a series on how you can use nothing but Logic and what’s included in it to create beats and music. While you can certainly use these concepts with 3rd party loops and software instruments, I demonstrate them with only included sounds and loops.
This requires some understanding of basic concepts and fundamentals, such as selecting and splitting regions It would also be beneficial to turn on chase and turn off playback pre-roll. This along with splitting and selecting regions is all covered in the getting started with Logic course you receive for free when you join the LogicBand mailing list.
Familiarity with the Piano Roll and or the Event List would be helpful as Well.
The Loop Browser is also used in this tutorial, so it may be worth it to check out that tutorial as well if you have never used it before.
I also use the Virtual Typing Keyboard (aka the Musical Typing Keyboard) to play the Software Instruments in this project, but if you have a MIDI Keyboard hooked up you could use that instead or in addition to, the choice is yours.
Also you may want to be familiar with some basics of the Sampler
As I am talking through a lot of what I am doing. This may seem like a long process, but I assure you it’s not as long or as daunting as it may seem once you get used to it and develop the muscle memory. So if it seems overwhelming now, just take it in small steps. As I am using stuff from the Loop Browser, you can pull up the same loops and play along at home. So work with each section until you’ve got it down.
While the Loop Browser is used here, you can do the same with 3rd party loops as well, and in those rare cases where the loops don’t come with their tempo info, you can follow the Adjust Tempo Using Region Length And Locators tutorial to get the loop’s tempo.
