    Hey Steve. In LUFs terms, what is the ideal level you should be aiming for on your stereo bus?

      What I would say is reference and get your mixes/masters sounding similar to reference tracks. If you attempt to use a number as a be all end all guideline it may not always work out. That being said conservative wisdom is -14db LUFS. However, I’d bet you good money if you checked anything professionally released more recently, you will find that they actually sit some where between -12db LUFS and -8db LUFS, So somewhere around -10db LUFS would probably be a. more real world figure to use.

        Enormously useful I liked the explanation about Pre-Fader metering. I’ve noticed that if a track has several markers throughout then jumping while playing from one section to another resets the meter automatically which can be helpful.
